My name is Terry M. Chen, L.Ac. (licensed acupuncturist). I have been in practice for over 13 years and specialize in pain management, injury rehabilitation, allergy elimination and mental/ emotional wellness. My goal is to get my patients feeling better as quickly as possible and to that end, I take my time to treat each and every patient as thoroughly as possible. In addition to acupuncture, I utilize herbs, nutritional supplements, and specific dietary and lifestyle recommendations to facilitate optimum health and healing.
I graduated Cal State University Dominguez Hills with a B.A. in behavioral science in 1996. Following my B.A. I began studying to be a physical therapist, but quickly switched tracks as I began to read about acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. I enrolled in a Master’s degree program and graduated from Yo San University of TCM five years later in 2001. Following my Master’s degree I spent several months in Beijing studying advanced acupuncture applications at Xuanwu hospital. I found TCM to be a better fit for me with its much broader scope of practice and ability to treat internal medicine conditions in addition to pain management and traumatology. Nearly anything that becomes imbalanced or goes wrong in the human body can be benefited by acupuncture, herbs, nutrition and exercise.
I have spent the past seven years living and practicing in beautiful Eugene with my wife Lindsey. Lindsey was born and raised in Beaverton Oregon. We both find Eugene to be a vibrant, beautiful and occasionally wacky place to live and are enjoying our home and life here.
